“The government said there is no illegal occupation, everything is fine,” he said. “…Isn’t there a law in this country?” Isn’t there a government? Let them do their job. Why are you media doing this when the government is following the law? he said.
The interviewer continued to ask questions, even after the Sadhguru tried to silence him: “When you are so concerned about the environment, why don’t you take proper permission before starting these buildings?” he asked.
Vasudev silenced him again and said, “Isn’t there a government? Isn’t there a law? Let them do their job. Let it… Enough now, please. When the interviewer didn’t back down, he said in English, “Your nonsense again you’re talking… Turn off his camera.” Enough… Listen, man, listen to me. All laws in force in the country have been complied with. If there is a discrepancy, we corrected it, a long time ago, 20 years ago, a small discrepancy. The interview ended at this point and BBC News Tamil flashed a message on the screen saying that “people who were with Jaggi Vasudev were forcibly arrested BBC‘s three cameras”.
Here’s how people reacted to the video.
