In the footage, the coyote chases the cat across a porch and aggressively tries to bite it. On the other hand, the feline hides under a bridge, while the coyote remains unfazed and keeps trying to reach the cat. A fierce fight ensues between the two animals.
At one point, the cat is seen desperately trying to climb up a wooden railing, only to end up in the coyote’s jaws. However, the cat manages to free itself from the jaws of the predator and push it away with its front paws.
The coyote then attempts to bite the cat again, but the feline quickly climbs up a wooden porch column and out of harm’s way. At the end, the coyote is seen taking a few turns around the porch before admitting defeat and walking away. The terrified cat, meanwhile, clung to the column for more than a minute before losing its grip and falling.

“Someone almost lost a cat,” Mr Gray wrote on Facebook of the animal’s very close call. It’s still unclear what ultimately became of the cat, and there’s also been no word on the identity of the cat’s owner or the feline’s whereabouts after it disappeared from the video.
