Local News: Advanced Pharmacy Owner Accused Of Installing Hidden Camera In Restroom (6/9/22)
An Advance Pharmacy owner, Bruce Dovin, has been accused of installing a hidden camera in the employee restroom.
According to the probable cause statement, the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Digital Forensics Unit conducted an investigation in Stoddard County on May 26.
According to Corporal Dustin Reed in the statement, information has been received from a verified source indicating that a hidden camera has been installed in the pharmacy employee restroom.
“The video was sent to investigators who verified that it was taken in the pharmacy employees’ bathroom,” Reed said. “In the video, pharmacy owner Bruce Dovin is clearly visible setting up the camera, but no employees were on the video.”
Reed said a search warrant was executed at Dovin’s residence and his cell phone was examined.
Inside a password-protected app on the phone, investigators discovered three hidden camera videos taken in the pharmacy’s restroom.
Reed said in the statement that the videos show adult women going to the bathroom and changing clothes.
“The videos described above contain a total of two identified victims. Dovin was visible in every video setting up the camera, hiding it and then retrieving it later,” Reed said. “During an interview, Dovin confessed to creating the recordings.”
Dovin is charged with three counts of invasion of privacy. He is summoned for a preliminary hearing before Judge Joe Z. Satterfield on June 23. The investigation is continuing.
