In case you missed the announcement, Huawei Philippines has revealed the official price of the Huawei Nova 9 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Even better, the company’s new “star” is already in pre-order at local retail.

Just like its predecessors and most Huawei devices with high-end positioning, the newly launched smartphone is aimed directly at users who want to take great photos and videos even in low-light conditions while wanting a smooth Android experience. And the Nova 9 is positioned to deliver just that, especially as it sports a flagship-level RYYB image sensor on the rear, to accompany dedicated cameras for ultra-wide shots, portrait and macro.

For context, HuaweiThe proprietary RYYB solution from – which stands for Red, Yellow, Yellow and Blue – enables the image sensor to capture up to 40% more light and resolve more detail than competing devices. It was previously only available on P and Mate series phones, so we were expecting great things.
