Announcing the Vanguard Alta Sky 68 Camera Backpack

Vanguard has just announced the release of the company’s latest addition to the Alta Sky lineup. These backpacks are recognized as an ideal suit for professional photographers looking for a tough bag to carry their kit safely.
The all-new Alta Sky 68 is an evolution of the popular Alta Sky 66, which was designed to carry super telephoto lenses up to 600mm f/4 and some shorter 800mm f/5.6 when attached to a DSLR mirrorless body.
However, some larger 800mms, when attached to professional DSLR or mirrorless bodies, are still very tight, if suitable. The Alta Sky 68 arrived to solve the problem; it’s designed for photographers who want to carry a pro-level body with 800mm attached, ready to capture the shot.
The new bag not only allows you to carry the ready-to-use camera. It also gives you quick access when you need it. Top access lets you remove the camera as the action unfolds. If you need to exchange lenses, these can be stored in the lower front part.
Besides the internal storage, the exterior of the bag has been designed to allow for maximum carrying potential. Two full-size tripods can be securely attached in place, one at the back and one at the side.
This is a real multi-day pack. The Alta Sky 68 can also carry a 16-inch laptop or 11-inch tablet, allowing you to check the high resolution images you’ve taken in the field.
As this bag is designed to be taken anywhere, Vanguard has invested in sturdy premium materials. The Alta Sky features a ripstop and water resistant outer material, and there is, of course, a rain cover included as standard. The Alta Sky harness system is in the back and, as with previous versions, the shoulder straps and waistband offer plenty of padding.
